Drake's coming to Nashville

Normally, Nashville is always ignored. I don't blame anyone in particularly. To the rest of the world Nashville is the "country music capital of the world". But Nashville is more than country. I am beyond ecstatic that Drake is stopping here February 17th. It's going to be utterly rediculous. The Paradise Tour is focusing on the colleges. Which makes perfect sense. A huge base of Drake's fan base is college students.  It's really not rocket science.
Music is viral, and "word of the mouth" is king.  Nashville is home to Belmont, Vanderbilt, Tennessee State University, Middle Tennessee State University, and more.  Could this be a sign?  Could Nashville become a regular stop to big urban acts?  Who knows... I have Drake to look forward too, I'm not complaining.  ASAP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar are also on the bill.

College Budgetize Me: BoneLess Buffalo Wings

Life most certainly does give you lemons.    But Lemons cost money.  Food in general, cost a LOT of money.  Grocery stores stand on soap boxes to announce ‘extra low’ prices, but for who?   For the extra savvy soccer mom, or the well-established business man? These prices certainly aren’t low for college students.  Who wants to eat TV dinners all the time?  Your taste buds graduated too.  Are there no simplified, mature recipes for the college budget?  Yes there is, but the trick is go in with a budy or two.  For  only 12 Bucks, you and 2 friends can enjoy a massive amount of spicy tenders (4$ per person).  Check out this easy recipe below.

Ammunition:
  • Chicken 5.99 (Trick: Frozen chicken is always cheaper then fresh and can last a couple of weeks)
  • Flour  $2.00 or Less (Great Value)
  • Hot Sauce $1 (Dollar Store)
  • Vegetable Oil $2.50
  • Egg/Milk  $2.00 (If you want restaurant quality Crisp… We like Crisp!!)
Steps:
Step One:  Rinse Chicken and place in bowl.
Step Two:  With a sharp knife, slice chicken into slender, two inch chunks.
Step Three: Season the chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder.  It’s pretty much a free for all.  Anything Goes.  Do not over season.  The Chicken is well prepared once you can smell the seasonings.

Step Four:  (Optional: Dip chicken into egg and milk mixture before dipping in flour.)  Drop chicken in a bag/bowl of flour.  Shake until chicken will completely covered in flour.  (Think: Powdered Doughnuts)

Step Five:  Once the oil is heated (375 degrees), drop chicken into fryer.   Let chicken  cook for about 6-7 minutes or until it turns a crispy golden brown.

Step Six:  Drain Chicken, and drop into a bowl of hot sauce.  Use tongs, or sifter to shake excess sauce off.  Then Bon Appetite.

We love you Gore!

Violet stands alone in the mirror.

She pulls back her polyester sleeve.

She motions towards her risk with her father’s rusty blade.

Tate appears behind her.

“If you’re trying to kill yourself, you’re doing it the wrong way”.

She turns.

He disappears.

So he is a ghost. I had an “ah-ha moment”. My latest obsession had finally answered my question. In a time where superficial housewives and obese teenagers reign supreme, new horror series are sweeping the nation.  Shows like American Horror Story and The Walking Dead featuring are experimenting with the gorier side of television. Glee creators are trying a spicier recipe that includes fellatio, adultery, and suicide. It’s a formula that America has no problem embracing. They beat out family guy by a .5th of a point last Wednesday.

The writing is certainly refreshing. The Harmons move into their luxurious new home, unaware of its history. Everyone that moves in, pretty much dies. And if you die inside the house, your spirit can never leave. The show uses flashbacks, deceased women, and ghostly widows to tell the story from every angle. The Harmons struggle to fight off vengeful apparitions and the everyday forces that rip families apart. The show’s strong point is definitely in their character make up. They are far beyond the “cookie cutter molds” of prime time. They’re complex. Tate, for example, is a sociopath… a mixture of innocence and evil. His innocence drives our connection. But we struggle between sympathizing and condemning.
Nevertheless, the Ratings are looking great so far. And the eye candy is definitely a factor. When sex sells, sell sex. Did I mention that a gorgeous red head prances around in French Maid Costumes? Or that you can catch Dylan McDermots supped up new “bod”, every episode?  (It’s definitely not rocket science.)

Is Tough Love Too Much?

For the purpose of being right, I was denied. Apparently since I under minded my professor, on a song. I don't know if I should be flattered, that he wants me to become better a songwriter, so much to the point that he won't allow me to perform my song. First of all my good sir. I'm not upset, I just feel like it was wrong. Don't overstep your boundaries.

Granny Go Bye Bye

Paris Alexandria Jones, 87, passed away last Friday night. She went out with a bang.Jones had lived a long, fulfilling life. Far from the typical “granny," she took her last breath crowd surfing high above fist pumping teenagers. Leaving behind a lifetime of parties and no regrets, Jones' heart just stopped. She spent most of her years as the senior executive at EMI publishing. Jones is behind some of the world’s most beloved songs. The party hasn't stopped for Jones... it just changed location. She is survived by her daughter Sidney.

Funeral Services will be held tomorrow at Utopia Funeral Home in Los Angeles, California. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m..
